Prayer Letter for Germany June

Dear Intercessors,

The Global Outreach Day, which is an annual event and takes place this year on May 30th, is an initiative of the German evangelist Werner Nachtigal. He has developed this movement to encourage the Christian church all over the world to go out onto the streets in cities and towns to present the gospel in a dynamic way. Many churches in Germany will of course be taking an active part. Please remember to pray and watch out for any events in your area!

The next G7 Summit (USA, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Italy and Japan) will take place on June 7th and 8th in Schloss Elmau which is near Munich and is very close to the Austrian border. This G7 meeting presents an enormous security challenge to the host country. Germany is expecting 10,000 demonstrators at the site and is deploying 17,000 police-men and -women to control a 7 kilometer security barrier.

The Call of the Watchmen is setting up a prayer chain in Germany from June 3rd until June 9th to fast and pray for good coordination and protection of all the security forces, for effective control of violent demonstrations, for divine guidance for the leaders of the G7 nations in all their decisions, and for forgiveness for the social injustices in these G7 nations that give cause for such demonstrations. Please pray with us for this G7 Summit meeting.
