Prayer Letter for Germany - September 2024

Dear intercessors,

The English translation of the prayer letter is somewhat late this month, as the translators were on vacation when the original German letter was released. We trust that you will excuse us for the delay and pray through the letter as usual.

The terror attack in Solingen in August where three people were killed and many wounded or injured by an asylum seeker with a large knife is of major concern within Germany.

The attack took place in the centre of Solingen where residents were celebrating the 650th anniversary of the town and regional area of Solingen, which is located between Dusseldorf and Cologne in North-Rhine-Westfalen. The concern is mainly for the insufficient planning of protection for the event by local authorities and police, and the fact that the attacker had not been properly assessed for his backgroung and his motive for applying for asylum in Germany.

Please pray as requested in the prayer letter:

"That grace and truth, justice and law meet in the issues concerning migration and asylum and that God leads our country to act righteously."

"For the political will in our government to enforce existing law and not allow any negligence."
