Prayer Letter for Germany - April 2025

Dear intercessors,

We continue to pray this month for Germany and for the world in these difficult times.

As intercessors we need to examine ourselves and seek to interact with others in a "different spirit" that only comes from God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. As you will read in the prayer letter:

"Freedom from a spirit of division and control"

"We live in an extremely charged atmosphere that seeks to divide people through taking sides without a genuine desire to understand other views and opinions. We are particularly open to being easily persuaded when, endowed with an apparently moral superiority, we elevate ourselves above others, because we then think that we are on the right side, among the decent, among those who have correctly understood the issue."

"Instead, we need the courage for self-awareness and self-criticism – and the acceptance that we also can still be deceived and act in a bad and unholy way, for we all have deeper dark chasms within us than we would like to admit."

"Therefore, the best way for us to stand by and to support our country is through prayer, in which we ourselves have a totally "different spirit."

Thank you for praying with us at this critical period of time in the world, especially in the Uklaine, Israel and the Middle East, and for the involvement of the governmental leaders in our own countries.
