Prayer Letter for Germany December 2011

Dear intercessors,

Advent is a wonderful time to be in Germany with the white lights in the trees, classical Advent concerts in the churches and the festive Christmas markets in most cities and towns.
It is the season of "Peace on earth to men on whom his favour rests."

But as we read the prayer letter we are reminded of how our world needs this true peace of the Saviour and the importance of our prayers for Germany and its role in Europe and its relationship with Israel.

Last month we were exhorted to "pray without ceasing" - and this month not "in our own strength". The word of the Lord through Isaiah comes to mind for us in this season:

"This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel says: In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength ... "
